Over the past few years, while writing songs for his band the
DesBerardos under the vast auspices of his publishing company Raoul Duke Musical
Entertainment Inc (BMI), Chris Berardo released his debut recording on his
own Greenhaven Records (distributed by
NEH Records) entitled American
Dust in 1997 , and now a second, entitled PURE FAITH (Sept, 03), on the
Charlotte, NC label Lamon
Records. It recieved steady air play at over 60 College, Americana and AAA radio stations, going to #1 in several markets and reaching #22 on the national Freeform American Roots Chart. He and the band have played shows with the likes of Little Feat, The Marshal Tucker Band, NRBQ, Dicky Betts, Reckless Kelly, and Molly Hatchet, and are currently touring and solving all the locals
problems.
Marc Douglas Berardo is a singer, guitarist
and songwriter, who has spent the last ten years performing full time in New
York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Florida, Maine and California. Besides performing
with the DesBerardo Band and with Chris as the DesBerardo Duo, Marc recently
released
two solo albums, Further On Tomorrow, and Second Chance
that are available on Hayloft
Records, and was chosen to be a showcase performer at the prestigious Falcon
Ridge Folk Festival. He can run like the wind, is completely incapable of
digesting even the smallest piece of gristle, and lives in a house with The
World's Largest Rubber Band Ball.
Scott Berardo was only a freshman in high school when he joined his first rock and roll band. He eventually organized and played in many popular New York area hard rock bands sharing the stage with many rock heros. By 1992, Scott was ready to join his brothers as a full time member in the DesBerardos and performs on the debut cd American Dust. He is a boating enthusiast and sports cars expert and tries, for safety purposes, he tries to keep the two as separate as possible.
Bass player Tom Marotta has toured with such acts as Carla Bonoff, Laura Branngian and The Indigo Girls before retiring to a life of leisure with the DesBerardo Band. His knowledge of Italian cuisine and highly tuned performance cars is matched only by his desire to give back to the community (well actually, the judge ordered that he give it back). He recently performed a summer stint with the critically acclaimed production Always, Patsy Cline.
Indiana native, Steve Hardwick, is a recent addition to the DesBerardo Band. In the late 1970's his band Whiteface released two albums on Mercury Records, and the band toured throughout North America to support it. Also, his work with Paul Davis yielded hits such as the radio staples "Cool Night" and "Bluer Than Blue". He currently resides in the wooded hills high above the Turning Point club in New York State in a 1950's inspired art-deco house with three women.

Guitar, mandolin, steel guitar, dobro, banjo smart-ass
Dick Neal has ranged from his 1970's work with the bluegrass band, Plexi-grass,
to his current appearences with CT's bluegrass supergroup Hoe. Still, he always returns
to the love and madness of The DesBerardos. He produced the DesBerardo CDs American
Dust and PURE FAITH along with Chris and is currently producing several other acts (Marc Douglas Berardo, Judd Fuller). He
loves good malt whiskey and fine cigars, and his thorough grasp of Spanish culture
helped to side-step several legal/cultural debacles during The DesBerardo Band's
week long oddesy in Key West, Florida.
